I think a good point to start a blog is by posting my most frequent thought, which is mostly based on the concept of reality. Reality is something that every person knows about. We all experience reality. A wet blade of grass is a wet blade of grass. Likewise, the fiery sun warms the earth to temperatures that can support life.
As per my nature, of course, I like to challenge typical conventions. Reality being a certainty is my favorite topic. We are all certain that 2+2=4, right?
Does 2+2=4 really make sense? Is it a reality that 2+2 really does equal 4? Maybe 2 is an illusion and 4 is just as much of an illusion. The concept of an illusion added to an illusion equaling an illusion may be outlandish but hear me out! Would math really exist without the invention of man? The reality is, perhaps, that we only know reality by our outward perceptions and in truth we cannot really see what is really there.
Before you think I am going to go all Matrix on you please rest easy. Certainly wood is hard and no matter what my state of mind is I cannot deny the fact and the reality that this wood table is anything but a wood table. I just simply want to point out that things should not be taken as literally or without thought when it comes to the way things are.
Things are made of matter, matter is made of atoms, protons, and neutrons. How do I know this? I was taught it in school. I have never seen an atom. Does an atom really exist? Sure it does, I was told that it does. Perhaps atoms are real, maybe they are not. Being told something is real does not wholly make it so!
I suppose I will end my first blog by making it a short one. I do not want to discuss reality and my thoughts on it in one sitting because that would be boring and then what would I discuss? Hopefully other things! Until next time...
